How Art Shapes My Work With Hair

Being an artist has trained me to look beyond trends and formulas.

I think in layers, movement, contrast, and balance. I pay attention to undertones, negative space, and how something evolves over time. Hair, to me, is another creative medium, one that just happens to live on a real person with a real life.

That same creative perspective shows up in my work behind the chair, especially in balayage and dimensional color and other lived-in, expressive hair services. It’s also why my work is rooted in customization, long-term wearability, and designs that feel intentional instead of overdone.

Whether I’m creating art or working with hair, the goal is the same: thoughtful design that feels authentic to the person experiencing it.
